Sometimes the right words at the right time can be a matter of life and death. Hi, I’m Renee Swope with Proverbs 31 Ministries.
Years ago my friend Leanne wrote a note to her daughter’s coach, Jill, thanking her for the difference she was making. She described the incredible qualities she saw in Jill as a coach, and called her a “bright light” that shined in so many lives.
Leanne had no idea how God would use those words a few months later when Jill came home to an empty apartment feeling lonely and sad. She been struggling with depression, and wondered if she could go on in life. That night Jill opened her journal and a note fell out. When she opened it, she read Leanne’s words again. They were just the right words at just the right time, and God used them to remind this hurting woman of her worth and to gently nudge her to get help.
