A little white lie here, a little bit of gossip there…how bad are these things, really? Hi I’m Lysa TerKeurst for Proverbs 31 Ministries. Recently, I was reading in the Bible about Judas, the disciple that betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. It said Judas bought a field with that money. Ironically, it was the same field where he eventually hung himself. His wrongdoings caught up with him and had deadly consequences. While our selfish acts may not lead us to the same end as Judas, what the Bible calls sin always causes our hearts to be pulled further and further away from God’s best. So, I need to stay on guard every day by reading the Bible and asking God to reveal to me anything that’s pulling my heart away from Him.
