Impromptu Giving

When was the last time someone surprised you with an impromptu gift? Hi, I’m Lysa TerKeurst for Proverbs 31 Ministries. Recently a friend told me about how she felt led to surprise a sweet cashier at a local grocery store. After her purchase, she handed the cashier a twenty dollar bill. As you can imagine, this hard working woman was thrilled!

A few minutes later, my friend was sitting in a car dealership waiting for an oil change. Almost out of nowhere an elderly gentleman came in, handed her several coupons and asked her to check to see if she could use any of them. Then, he just walked away.

As she was paying for her oil change, my friend realized that the coupon discount from her random friend came to a little more than $20. Isn’t it amazing how - when we look for ways to shower others with God’s love - we’re often surprised with good things in the process as well?! For more encouragement, visit Proverbs 31.org.
