Are the things that drew you to your husband beginning to drive you apart? Hi, I’m Renee Swope with Proverbs 31 Ministries. In marriage we’ll experience countless situations where the differences between a wife and a husband are glaringly evident. But you know, God planned our differences. The Bible says He created male and female.
If God designed us to be different, we can trust He did so for our good. But it doesn’t always feel that way, does it? Sometimes the differences in our husbands make us think, What is wrong with this man?
There are two approaches to our differences. First, we can magnify them by focusing on the negative. Then we can try to change or fix our husbands, which creates a barrier between us. OR we can accept those differences and recognize God as the designer of our husbands. When you begin to feel frustrated with your husband’s “maleness,” ask God to give you patience, understanding and love for the way He created your husband. Need more encouragement for your marriage?
