May the Force Be With You”

When God asks us to do something that seems way too hard, we’re in good company! Hi, I’m Lysa TerKeurst for Proverbs 31 Ministries. God has a history of asking people to do things that were beyond themselves. Author, Rick Warren says it this way:

“Abraham was old, Jacob was insecure, Leah unattractive, Moses stuttered, Samson was codependent, David had an affair, Jonah was reluctant, John the Baptist was eccentric to say the least, Martha worried a lot, the Samaritan woman had several failed marriages, Zachaeus was unpopular, and Thomas had doubts. That’s quite a group of misfits, but God used each of them in his service.”

So, maybe it’s time for us to stop dwelling on our inabilities and insecurities and give God a chance to work in us and through us!
