I couldn’t help but think, "Truer words have never been spoken." And then I started to think about the fine line between being honest and being fake. But instead of faking that we like something, we could learn to purposely find something we do like about the gift... or that woman that gets on our nerves... or our spouse’s comment... or whatever else triggers us. There's always some tiny thread of something we could intentionally focus on and make the smile go from fake to real.
